Inpatient Rehabilitation

In addition to our outstanding outpatient services, we provide quality, caring rehabilitation services at The Virginian, CCRC.  Our goal is to help facilitate our patient’s return home using individualized care and evidence-based treatment. We work closely with the entire interdisciplinary team and the patient’s support system to ensure a holistic approach to recovery. We offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of every patient and resident at all levels of care.

Occupational Therapy

Inpatient occupational therapy focuses on restoring independence with activities of daily living or “ADLs”. ADLs can include bathing, dressing, toileting, self-feeding, and completing household tasks.

Physical Therapy

Inpatient physical therapy focuses on restoring functional mobility including bed mobility, gait training (walking), stair training, and balance training. We focus on what our patients require to safely navigate their home environment.

Speech Therapy

Inpatient speech therapy can address trouble swallowing, cognitive deficits, quality of voice, breath management, and other conditions.

Personal Exercise Program (PEP)

PEP is a unique private pay service that allows patients and residents to receive 1 on 1 fitness instruction. PEP trainers follow an exercise program set by the PT and OT to encourage continued activity and movement after therapy ends.
