Headaches

Just as headaches can range in intensity, it can also vary in its cause. Headaches can be caused by a relatively simple issue of dehydration or muscle tension or a more complex issue from a neurological insult like from a stroke, head injury, or concussion. Given the variety of causes, therapy intervention varies as well. Some interventions may include manual therapy, breathing retraining for relaxation, postural and positioning needs, vestibular and visual tracking re-training, all depending on the origination of the headache. Our approach is to treat the root of the headache so you can return to the prior level of function, headache-free. Our therapists will assess any muscular tension, positional needs, hydration considerations, and functional mobility that may give rise to the headache symptom.
