Maria Malca, Wellness Trainer

A teacher at heart, Maria has taught a variety of fitness classes and is passionate about instructing BIG & LOUD for Parkinson's patients, Yoga and Mat Pilates. She worked at the World Bank in D.C. as a Certified Ergonomics Specialist, where she has also been teaching exercise classes for over 30 years. She is a certified AFAA instructor and has various discipline certifications in PWRMoves for Parkinson’s, Yoga (RYT 200), Spinning (Cycling), Zumba (Dance), Functional Aging Institute (FAI) and Body Sculpting (Strength). She is also a meditator, practicing TM (Transcendental Meditation) for more than 25 years. She is devoted to helping students with different fitness levels reach their ideal wellness goals and is dedicated to improving the health of older adults. Maria has a BA in Psychology from George Mason University. She is originally from Lima, Peru but living in the US for more than 40 years; she speaks four languages and loves to travel around the world, when time permits.
