Melissa Huffstetler
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from George Mason University. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, then completed a Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In 2017 she earned her Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
In 2019, Melissa started working more exclusively with the older adult population and earned her certification as an LSVT BIG clinician for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. She earned her Board Certification in Geriatric Physical Therapy in 2021. She earned her certification as a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. She is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
Melissa’s clinical interests include neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, generalized balance deficits, the older adult population and orthopedic conditions. She enjoys helping individuals overcome pain, improve mobility, improve balance and strength in order to regain independence, improve efficiency of tasks and improve quality of life.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and 3 dogs, Cooper, Maggie and Teddy. She enjoys hiking, gardening, playing with her son, and movie nights with her husband.
